Café Galleria has been a downtown Oakville tradition for over 30 years by consistently combining time-honoured Italian cuisine with excellent value and service. Your dining experience is enjoyed in a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of Italy. An intimate European style ambiance is romantically lit by candlelight. The menu is a combination of both Chef Salvatore Mercato’s favourite dishes and most popular delicacies from the course of his 22 years at Café Galleria. The service is attentive yet casual, in keeping with the unpretentious atmosphere . To conclude your evening, no visit is complete without one of Chef Sal’s homemade desserts or a splash of Limoncello on ice. If you haven't visited us for a while or you’ve never been here, please drop by and see why our regular guests have continued to support us through the years.

History:

The restaurant began as a café in 1981 and has been transformed over the years to a casual fine dining establishment. With only 40 seats in two rooms, it’s cosiness and romantic atmosphere is reminiscent of the bistros of Italy. It is recommended to call well in advance to reserve a table as there are only 18 tables in the restaurant!

Ownership:

Peter Tekavcic with his son Chris, and Chris’s wife Lisa have owned and operated Café Galleria since the year 2000. The beloved Chef Salvatore Mercato has continuously reinvented his passion for food through the delectable Italian dishes he has been designing during his time at Café Galleria. Being a small restaurant, with a small staff, all are considered family, including our cherished clientele.
